Vancouver, Canada.  June 27, 2013, Smartcool Systems Inc. has finalized a new distribution agreement for its energy efficiency retrofit products, with a strong regional partner in Guyana.  SPR Enterprises is the newest company to join Smartcool’s growing network of independent distribution partners.

With support from Smartcool, SPR will be introducing Smartcool’s ECO3 to the market at the International Building Exposition, July 5-7 in Georgetown, Guyana.  Government officials will also be present to support the product launch. Guyana has committed to a Low Carbon Development Strategy, and Smartcool’s ECO3 offers an economical and effective tool that can help meet these targets by reducing overall electricity consumption and demand on the grid.

Smartcool’s ECO3 saves an average 20% kWh on compressor operation in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.  For customers with high electrical rates and high demand for cooling, this can represent a substantial reduction to their utility bills.

Guyana is subject to high electrical rates, in the range of $0.27/kWh for residential and $0.35/kWh for commercial customers.  With a hot Caribbean climate, the demand for air conditioning is also very high.  These factors make Guyana a natural fit for Smartcool’s ECO3, and SPR Enterprises is poised to deliver the product to a market primed for energy efficiency products.

“Introducing the ECO3 to our market fits perfectly in our core strategy of providing our customers with top quality electrical products,” explains Scotty Ramroop, Managing Director at SPR Enterprises. “In this case, we have not only chosen a high quality product but also one which will help our customers dramatically reduce their electrical bills through greater air conditioning and refrigeration energy efficiency.  The ECO3 will give us yet another advantage and provide the basis for further growth and increased revenue.”
